German TV and Moon Dust - Surreal Poetry by Sam Freek

 German TV and Moon Dust

This is the last of your atomic epilogues
The removal van takes away your accidental shades of cherry pie
Whisked up into a charming new disguise you have an internal heatwave at gas mark 7
I change my name to Paco Rabanne
This flips your head over to the northerly part of a frost bitten toe
A blind rabbit insists you stay there until noon
But you're there for over 10 days and live on moon dust and German TV
Candy floss surrounds the 6ft bird cage as the church bells ring out the Hokey Cokey
We all stand in line as our numbers are called out
668
259
425
903
631
172
The recording gets stuck on 4 and we all remain the same
